Hi-ho! Hi-ho! It's back to school I go ...


I have decided to head back to school and finish my degree and get my teaching credential. I am pretty excited! This means we will be in Utah for a little longer, but it will be nice to be done with this degree that has literally taken me a hundred years to finish! Scot has a few changes coming in the next month at work, so he will be able to be home in the mornings to stay with Larkin while I go to school ... Wish me luck! (I'm gonna need it:)

I LOVE Spring Time in Salt Lake!

Hard not to be fooled into living here through another winter ... after the bitter cold of winter, spring in Salt Lake is always so seducing ... warm days, cool nights, bright flowers, budding trees ... aaahhhh! Good for the soul!

Planting a Garden

Scot's mom came to visit and she and I picked up a few tools to put in a small garden in our backyard. Larkin came along to help ...



By the time we were ready to start digging and planting it was pouring rain. It rained half of Friday, and most of Saturday. Scot and his mom donned rain gear and headed out to dig in the mud! By the time the garden was ready for planting both of them were soggy and muddy and cold and ready for a break in the weather ... but no luck. It rained almost all day and the garden got planted in spite of the uncooperative weather!


I helped as much as I could, but Larkin was almost as uncooperative as the weather ... I worked on flower pots to grace our front porch and driveway.


When all was said and done we had a beautiful garden with veggies and herbs and flowers. We had great fun getting our hands and feet and rear ends dirty!
