I Love Your Guts!

I need to say "THANK YOU!" to my very sweet husband who has been very supportive of me and all my blah lately. I have been feeling like "Frumpy Mom" lately, and Scot went and scoped out a few gyms while I was out of town and found one with a child care for Larkin while I sweat it up. Sweet right!?! I went yesterday for my first class and had a blast! I will take Larkin tonight and see how she does. I'm not really worried- she loves playing with other kids and is very independent! She will have a great time!

So thank you! THANK YOU! Thank You Scot for being a wonderful husband and father! I appreciate all your help and support recently! I love being a mom, I love being a wife, I love being me, and I love your guts!

Over the River and Through the Woods

Larkin and I spent a week at my parent's house. We had fun playing outside in the garden ... Larkin loves to eat dirt, which grosses me out, but I figure it's better than some other options! I tell her she just needs to outgrow that impulse before she goes to college - people will look at her funny :)

She had such a great time tromping around, following the dog around, going for wagon rides, and exploring. Funny though, Larkin DOES NOT like grass. She would follow the dog to the edge of the sidewalk and pace back and forth in front of the grass, but would not step onto it no matter how much coaxing we did! She pretty much stuck to the dirt and the sidewalk.

Grandma got Larkin this little rake to help in the garden, and Larkin pushed it around like a vacuum cleaner forever! It was $1 well spent!

So much to do ... Larkin is such an explorer, so this week was perfect for her. Lots of people to pay attention to her, and lots of fun new things to explore! Thanks grandma and grandpa for letting us come spend such a fun week at your house!

Irish @ Heart

We celebrated St. Patty's Day with a little lucky liquid refreshment ... among other things!

We headed to Old Town for a family adventure and found when we arrived, that St. Patrick's Day was in full swing with a parade and festivities! A lucky surprise!
We love St. Patty's Day @ our house!

Hello ... Who is it?

Larkin loves to talk on the phone, the tv remote, the tube of diaper cream ... literally anything and everything is a phone at our house these days! It is so funny to watch her jibber jabber into random objects ... I couldn't help but sneak a video to capture this fun stage. Enjoy!

What could be better ...

I have been craving this super yummy Veggie Pizza that Scot and I make. It's a rare thing for me to crave anything veggie, so we put the pizzas together and had our friends over to share the grub.

This evening of fun got me wondering ... is there really truly anything in life better than a veggie pizza and a dance party??? Below you can see the kids shakin' it! At our house it is all belly and booty on the dance floor! :)

To veg out at your house try the following:

Make your favorite pizza crust and add any and all of your favorite veggies!
Chopped Artichoke Hearts
Sliced Olives
Chopped Tomatoes
Grated Carrots
Chopped Broccoli
Chopped Asparagus
Sliced Mushrooms
Chopped Red/Orange/Green Peppers
Pesto (substitute this for the red sauce)
White Cheese and Goat Cheese to sprinkle on top

Prepare yourself! This pizza will have you rethinking veggies!
